FAXmaker Common Features

Attach any Office 97/2000 document
Users can attach any Office 97/2000 document to their message. This document will then be converted into fax format at the server and faxed out. Office 97 or 2000 is required to be installed on server machine.

FAX broadcasting
Faxes can be sent to thousands of recipients as easily as to one, as it can send faxes simultaneously on any of its fax lines. By merging a standard word processor file with an e-mail/fax distribution list, FAXmaker can personalise each fax, giving it personal addresses, openings and remarks.

Call accounting
FAXmaker can cost all your phone calls and apportion them to specific users or departments.

FAX archiving
Faxes can be archived for back-up and quick retrieval. With the optional OCR module, users can also search for a fax by specifying keywords.

Internet FAX routing
While FAXmaker sends faxes by direct dialing, it can also save your company considerable costs by using the Internet as a fax backbone. Faxes can be sent by e-mail to an Internet fax service, which can send out the fax at the least cost (this feature requires an account with JFAX).

Inward FAX delivery
FAXmaker can automatically route incoming faxes to mailboxes using one of four methods: CSID, DID/DTMF, ISDN or OCR routing.
CSID routing determines the recipient through Fax ID which is on top of each fax received.
DID routing is based on DID(Direct Inward Dialing) numbers purchased from telephone company (like Etisalat in UAE). Every user is assigned a unique DID number.
ISDN routing is just like DID routing, except you purchase ISDN line instead of DID line from your telephone company.
DTMF routing requires the sender to first dial your fax number and then punch the recipient's unique DTMF ID.
OCR routing method searches for names and keywords in a fax. Faxes can also be manually routed or assigned to a network printer per-installed fax port.
While CSID, DID/DTM, ISDN routing are standard features, OCR is an option.
